The game of video poker is the newest exciting way to play poker. With a wide variety of poker games to select from you’ll find video poker your favorite way of playing.

The requirements for any video poker game are to know the makeup of various poker hands. Some of the holding hands may include a pair, three of a kind, full house, a straight, flush, straight flush, and royal straight flush to name some.

Placing your wager at video poker is relatively simple and straightforward. You typically choose games, which range from .25 up to $5.00 or more. Bets can be 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x (the maximum bid) for the game, which you have selected. For example when chosen to play a $5 video poker game your bets will be $5, $10, $15, $20, or $25 for a maximum bet. The $25 maximum bet will get the greatest pay off if receiving a winning hand.

After placing your initial bet hit deal and you will be dealt five cards. You will have to choose to hold or discard any or all of these five cards. If you have a winning hand such as a full house select to hold all cards if you choose to get a pay out for a full house or you may chose to hold the three a like cards and try to get four or five (with a wild card game) of a kind.

When discarding your cards you will be re-dealt the discarded cards. In conclusion your remaining cards is your final hand, which will determine if you get a pay out or not.
